Unit 4 Lesson 3: Continue to Continue

Old habits die hard. And new habits die easy.
The reason is simple. Man is like a computer with a software and a hard drive. The ‘hidden man’ does the coding and the ‘fleshly mind’, the hard drive with a great memory, just runs the program.
The easy part is programing the mind to function in a certain way. The hard part is changing that program. It’s all about momentum; a state of constancy, in stasis or motion.
The force that resists your transformation is relentless. We are encouraged all through the Gospels, yo continue in that which we have learned and to ‘hope to the end.’ Life is a mortal war… complacency will lead to death!
Life transformation will not happen or be retained because you have attended this course and done the 30-day challenge. Life will yet throw stuff at you and the tendency to give up and give in to the ‘old normal’ will always be there.
The 30-day challenge will of course help you to gain some mastery for the ‘hidden man’, but belief itself is a life long war. We are in enemy territory and the enemy, satan, is a persistent fellow.
But, “if you continue in my word, then you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.” Jesus Christ, ‘the Truth’, said that and we are best advised to heed this instruction.
To ‘know’, epignosis in Greek, is to experience/experiment a thing. You truly ‘know that you know’, only when you have experienced a thing. As they say, the taste of the pudding is in the eating. You may not even be able to describe the taste, but you ‘know’ it!
So, you must continue in what you have learnt or you may lose the ‘taste’ of it. Keep at it and you will continue to grow, or at least maintain what growth you have achieved. Better to keep growing, for time itself is an enemy. It dulls the senses.
If you decide to stop feeding yourself, because you think you have eaten enough food one time, to last a lifetime, then you can only expect one thing; degeneration and ultimately death.
It is the same with this war of life. You’ve got to keep moving, or else ‘time’ and ‘chance’ will crush you.
And that’s the key right there…
Keep moving!
Godspeed
